Dutch-British singer-songwriter and composer Tessa Rose Jackson first emerged with her debut album '(Songs From) The Sandbox' at the age of 19. Seeking greater creative freedom, she later spent a decade recording under the moniker Someone. This ambitious project combined dream-pop influences with experimental visuals, augmented reality and immersive live performances. Across releases including the EPs 'Orbit' and 'Orbit II' and the albums 'Shapeshifter' and 'Owls', Jackson developed a distinctive artistic voice shaped by influences ranging from Air and Charlotte Gainsbourg to Feist and Tame Impala.
Returning under her own name, Jackson entered a new creative chapter with her third studio album, 'The Lighthouse', released in 2026. Written during a secluded period in rural France, the record explores themes of ancestry, mortality, grief and belonging through a blend of spectral folk and cinematic alt-pop. Following its release, the album earned critical acclaim from the likes of The Guardian, who named it Folk Album of the Month, alongside support from The Line of Best Fit, The Independent, Clash, Wonderland and 1883 Magazine.
