Niall McNamee is an Irish singer-songwriter, actor and storyteller whose music blends traditional Irish influences with contemporary rock and folk. Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Pogues, Christy Moore, Paul Brady, Oasis and Coldplay, McNamee has built a reputation for pairing Celtic soul and lyrical romanticism with the energy of modern alternative music. His charismatic live performances and distinctive songwriting have earned praise from the likes of American Songwriter, Hot Press, The Daily Telegraph and Irish World.
After moving to London at 17, McNamee balanced life on building sites with acting auditions and performances in Irish pubs, eventually landing leading roles on stage and screen, including Romeo in the West End production of Romeo and Juliet, appearances alongside Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan in The Foreigner, and a starring role in the award-winning feature film Love Without Walls, for which he also wrote the original soundtrack.
Following sold-out headline shows, festival appearances at Isle of Wight and Cambridge Folk Festival, and support slots with Melissa Etheridge, Louis Dunford and The Dubliners, McNamee released his debut album, 'Glass and Mirrors', in 2025. A deeply personal collection of songs inspired by love, loss, identity and his experiences as a young Irish artist in London, the album marked the arrival of a distinctive new voice in contemporary Irish music.
