Joe Hicks is a singer-songwriter from Newbury, Berkshire whose soulful vocals, accomplished guitar work and heartfelt songwriting have earned him a growing audience across the UK and Europe. Since releasing his first single in 2017, Hicks has amassed over 5 million Spotify streams, toured extensively and shared stages with artists including Sam Fender, Seafret, James Walsh and Starsailor, alongside appearances at CarFest, The Big Feastival, Are You Listening? Festival and over 30 Sofar Sounds shows.
Following the release of his debut album 'The Best I Could Do at the Time' in 2022, Hicks received support from BBC Radio 2 and BBC Introducing, where he was named Artist of the Week, alongside praise from the likes of CLASH Magazine, Manchester Evening News and Blues Matters Magazine. His second album, 'Before It Gets Dark', released in 2026, finds him at his most personal and reflective, exploring themes of grief, loss, resilience and hope through a collection of emotionally rich songs shaped by profound life experiences.
