
Alas de Liona is an American-born singer-songwriter based in Scotland whose ethereal songwriting and dreamlike indie-pop sound have earned her growing acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. After relocating to Edinburgh, she found her creative home in the City of Writers, developing a distinctive artistic voice shaped by introspective storytelling, atmospheric arrangements and emotionally rich melodies. Along the way, she has worked with producer Rod Jones of Idlewild and musician Gus Harrower, while sharing stages with artists including Rufus Wainwright, Travis, Kathryn Joseph, The Proclaimers, Hamish Hawk and Emeli Sandé.
Her debut album, 'Gravity Of Gold', released in 2024, received praise from the likes of The Line of Best Fit, Clash, The Scotsman, The Arts Desk and Atwood Magazine. Continuing her upward trajectory, Alas de Liona completed work on her sophomore album, 'Noble Rot', in 2026, a lush, vampire-themed collection that further expands her immersive and cinematic musical world.
